Pleasure Island Marina Rehabilitaiton

The Pleasure Island Marina Rehabilitation project in Port Arthur, Texas, represented a crucial endeavor aimed at both improving the deteriorating conditions of the marina and enhancing its aesthetic appeal. The project included the installation of 54,000 square feet of 18-inch wide vinyl sheet piling, 30 timber fixed docks, a tie-back system for bulkhead reinforcement, and the replacement of essential utilities such as water lines and electrical conduits. Addressing the corrosive nature of saltwater and the region’s susceptibility to hurricanes posed significant challenges, prompting the incorporation of innovative solutions like a wave break system to protect the newly constructed marina from storm surges.
