Orange County Precinct PODs

AWC provided comprehensive civil engineering services as part of a design-build team for Orange County’s Point of Distribution (POD) facilities, funded through an Economic Development Administration (EDA) grant. The project included the development of four POD sites, one within each precinct of Orange County, designed to support emergency supply distribution during disaster response operations.

AWC was responsible for all civil design services, including site planning, grading, drainage analysis and design, and utility coordination to ensure each facility met operational, regulatory, and constructability requirements. In addition to civil design, AWC provided construction-phase services and project management support throughout implementation. Responsibilities included construction administration, review and processing of monthly pay applications, evaluation and coordination of change order requests, and preparation of final project documentation and closeout materials.
